We’ve also shorted our stylists and spa staffs’ shifts. This way, you’re ensured that your stylist, esthetician or nail tech is fresh and able to fully focus on you. We believe in balanced lives. Our story.Gordon Salons and Spas were founded by Tony and Pam Gordon in 1999 in Highland Park, Illinois, as an answer to the salons they saw at the time. As a fourth-generation hair stylist, Tony and his wife Pam understood that the area needed a world-class salon, with superbly trained staff, a professional atmosphere and warm customer service. "One thing that I saw as a beginning salon owner was a lack of hair designer training. That was the cause for a high attrition rate among hairstylists throughout the profession. It saddened me that so many people failed to realize their dreams of becoming successful stylists. We created a training program that addressed those issues."
