Brittany Gilbert A Northshore native, Brittany grew up in Deerfield, Illinois. Brittany spent many weekends at her grandparents farm in Bristol, Wisconsin, this is where she learned to appreciate the earth. "I decided to work exclusively with Aveda products because their mission statement coincides with what my grandparent's taught me," she stated. Brittany has had her Esthetics license for three years and has been part of the Gordon Team since 2008. "I love doing make-up applications because every one of them can be done differently. I enjoy experimenting with colors and coordinating them with an outfit or occasion. The most rewarding part of my work is making a client feel happy and confident during and after a service. I take great pride in helping others feel and look their very best." Continuing education is also very important to Brittany because the beauty industry is always evolving. She keeps up on new trends and techniques by taking advanced education classes at the Aveda Institute in Chicago. |

Michael Evans "There is no better feeling than knowing what you do matters," is how Michael describes his love of massage therapy. Before Michael was a massage therapist he spent 13 years working in the security industry at the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Stock Exchange. One day he was so stressed out his supervisor made him take a few days off to relax. While on his mini vacation he visited a resort in Chesterton, Indiana. When he was there he received his first massage ever and fell in love, he had found his calling. Michael loves making clients feel great. Everyday is a truly amazing experience. For Michael massage therapy is not a job or a career, it is a lifestyle. He describes it as, "his way of trying to make the world a better place." |
